Orthodox are a 4 piece, Alternative Rock band from Ayr situated on the South West Coast of Scotland. With influences from Biffy Clyro, The View, The Libertines, The Courteeners and The Stone Roses the band enjoy writing their own songs. The band came together in the summer of 2010 when 3 school mates began messing around with guitars, drums and vocals. The messing around soon disappeared and the band came under the name Vortex for a full year until the name was changed to Orthodox in 2011.

Vocals/Guitar - Chris Andreucci.

Chris from Ayrshire has played guitar since he was 6 years old. He began writing songs during the summer of 2009 and many of these are in the up and coming album. 

Bass/Vocals - Ross Arthur.

Ross, originally from England moved to Alloway in Ayrshire in 1999. Ross played cello in his Primary School Orchestra for 3 years, this then changed when he decided to try bass guitar at a jamming session at Chris Andreucci's house during the summer of 2010, Ross replaced the original bass player Zac Lynn.

Lead Guitar/Vocals - Scott McClure.

Scott also from Alloway in Ayrshire joined the band at the end of 2012 a late arrival into the band. Scott has been good friends with the band from the start and has always been interested in the music. He began playing guitar at the age of 8 and joined another rock band called, "Hysteria" during 2011. He soon left and joined Orthodox.

Drums - Robbie Nicol.

Robbie from Alloway in Ayrshire started playing drums when he was 8. He played in the Secondary School wind and jazz band for two years before he decided that he preferred being in a rock band. 


The boys have all known each other since Primary School and all attend the same secondary school in Ayr. The band have been together since 2010 and enjoy writing and playing there songs live.
